What comes after the Islander Way?

Most projects have an end date. But the thinking, the doing, and the relationships that grow inside them don't stop when the final report is filed.

This is the place where I share what happens next. The ideas that keep evolving, the community work that continues to unfold, and the slow, sometimes surprising way that systems change actually takes hold. It's not always tidy. But that's the point I want to make.

These are not the ideas of the Furneaux Collective. These are my thoughts, sense-making, and that is emerging from my embodied, embrained understanding of what just happened and what lies ahead.

A Regenerative Tourism Framework for Flinders Island This week we hit a milestone. It's an ending in one sense and a new beginning. Flinders Council adopted the " Hosting Visitors the Islander Way Regenerative Framework '. It has been a privilege to have worked with the community on Flinders Island to develop a different approach to tourism and the visitor economy. It is an approach that brings community, as equal partners, into the conversation and asks ‘How we can host vi
